How to turn on two-factor authentication

Two-factor authentication adds an extra layer of protection to your account. When you sign in to your account with two-factor authentication enabled, you’ll need to enter your password and a confirmation code that's sent to your phone or tablet.

You can receive the authentication code on an authenticator app or through calls or texts to your phone. You can use the same app or phone number on multiple accounts.

You’ll be prompted to provide the code:

When you sign in using a different browser or on a new device

Every 30 days

You’ll need to enter that code in addition to your password when signing in.
